Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
The Manager of Biomedical Engineering will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of all biomedical equipment throughout the healthcare system. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer this position will work closely with departmental leaders to develop and implement strategies for ensuring the effective and efficient use of biomedical technology within the organization. This position will lead a team of biomedical engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest levels of service and quality.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associates Degree
- Three (3) years of experience in a biomedical engineering leadership role
- Certified Biomedical Engineering Technician (CBET)
- Knowledge of biomedical equipment, systems, and technologies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to biomedical technology
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to develop and manage budgets, and monitor and analyze financial performance.
- Other industry certifications
