Essential Duties:
Managers must keep both the company goals and customer expectations in mind when overseeing daily operations. Coach and provide career development to the staff. Correct non-compliant behavior and impose disciplinary action as required. Understand the corporate culture, policies and goals, and take measures to implement these into daily work routines. Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position has oversight of the station training department. Administrative duties include daily/weekly/monthly reports relating to staffing, workman’s compensation, dependability, airport badge accountability and mandatory training documentation. Prepare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, promotions. Understand, enforce, and explain company policies, benefits, and procedures. Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities. Represent organization at worker’s compensation hearings and investigations. All work schedules, vacation schedules, payroll processing, and corrective action for dependability, are competed in the Team Member Services Department.
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
- Previous experience in a busy office environment
- Proven success as a team leader with ability to preplan
- Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines
- Ability to coach and provide career development for the staff
- Able to defuse conflicts among team members and administer corrective action as necessary
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Prior experience with internal controls processes for accountable items
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous management experience in an airport hub environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
- Familiarity with Roster Apps
- Knowledge of Worker’s Compensation Guidelines and Processes
Work Environment:
- Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment
- Some travel is required
- Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
- All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
