Role Overview:
We’re on a mission to lead Collins’ digital transformation with customer-centered innovation. We need a UX Manager/Designer who would be responsible for providing leadership for a team of UX Designers, inspire and mentor them, serve as a champion of their work, and elevate their efforts to the next level. The manager should be able to perform design work and have strong research skills who is ready to collaborate with cross functional teams taking high level problems and defining solutions through design thinking methodologies from research to diagramming to wireframing and ultimately creating high fidelity screens.
As a UX Manager/Designer you are responsible for the helping teams to understand and define problem spaces. You should have a keen eye for layout, color, typography, and implementing and expanding on our design system.
You will need a portfolio of work that showcases your ability to think conceptually, as well as an attention to detail and implementation of quality, consistency, and design standards.
We are looking for experience in working collaboratively as part of larger team, and the ability to communicate ideas and vision to cross functional stakeholders. You should have experience in building out multiple concepts and getting them in front of customers to test and validate.
**This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote (Preferable working EST ). **
Primary Responsibilities:
Worked in a leadership capacity directly driving UX strategies for people, process, and product.
Articulates develops and models the end user experience including the User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) of applications to make user interaction simple, efficient, consistent, and cost effective.
Apply user-centered design, ethnography in human/computer interaction.
Work collaboratively with customers, along with business and product teams to convey concepts through wireframes, process flows, story & mood boards, and visual mockups.
Assesses and optimizes the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing, research and data analytics interpretation.
Develops user personas, journey maps, future state vision and contributes to innovation ideation and product prototypes.
A track record of producing or helping others produce highly usable and visually appealing product experiences.
Experience in Figma, and successful in a strong design process with Agile and product management processes.
Portfolio is needed for this role.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
