Job Description

As a Manufacturing Associate with Liberty Packaging, you will support production and machine operations by performing assigned duties that vary with production needs. This position requires minimal experience and has many opportunities for training and development.


This full-time position reports directly to the Plant Manager and is located at Liberty Packaging’s manufacturing plant in Phoenix, Arizona.


Required Skills


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow all work safety policies, programs, and guidelines
  • Assist in the preparation and operation of industrial machinery, feeding, stacking and/or assembly of products in accordance with LQC’s established standards, processes, and work instructions
  • Maintain proficiency by performing the skill on a regular schedule
  • Assist with minor repairs to equipment as needed
  • Notify appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns and maximize overall equipment efficiency for production rate, first time quality and downtime
  • Perform necessary pre-operation and/or shut down activities to ensure proper equipment operation
  • Ensure product quality by monitoring equipment and raw materials within the scope of the position
  • Drive quality standards and operational efficiencies, offering recommendations for improvements, as you contribute directly to overall plant operations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Problem solving for continuous improvement and equipment trouble-shooting
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience
  • Ability to read a measuring tape
  • Basic math (addition, subtraction, and fractions)
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions (i.e. SOP’s, Specs, etc.)
  • Must be available to work overtime as required

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills such as typing, printing and data entry

  • Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to bend and stoop for 7+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to stand for 6+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to walk for 6+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to reach and grasp up to 6+ hours per shift
