Staffmark is hiring a Material Handler for a steel distributor located in NW Houston.

2nd shift hours are available working 4:00pm – 2:00am, Mon - Fri, with opportunity for overtime on the weekends and a 30-minute lunch break. Pay will start between $16.00-$17.00/hr (depends on experience/shift).

Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Follow safe methods at all times, and immediately advise the supervisor of any unsafe conditions.

• Safely and properly move steel to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.

• Relocate product manually and by operating equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.

• Load vehicles while enhancing load capacity.

• Maintain and safely operate assigned tools/equipment.

• Work indoors and outdoors, being exposed to various types of weather conditions.

Requirements: Basic math skills, motivated with good time management skills, a willingness to help others, metatarsal boots, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
