Mechanical Engineering Technician

**Future Opportunity**

CSEngineering is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support the US Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit Providence (USCG CEU Providence), located in Warwick, Rhode Island, for projects throughout the 1st Coast Guard District (D1) Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Projects shall include those indicated on the Advanced Acquisition Plan, Planned Obligation Priority (POP) Board, or inserted into the D1 program. All projects include design and construction related to shore-side maintenance of existing facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, utilities, roads, piers/docks, hangars, housing complexes, offices, galleys, gyms, small clinics, Small Boat Station Multi-Mission Buildings (MMB), Boat Maintenance Facilities (BMF) and related ancillary waterfront structures and buildings. Industrial facilities include water and wastewater treatment plants, steam generation plants, and fuel farms.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Outlined below are the critical requirements for this position:

· Demonstrated understanding of Mechanical Engineering concepts, principles, and practices.

· Experience in National Building Codes (IBC, IRC & associated reference codes) and Mechanical Engineering sub-disciplines (including heating, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, fuel systems, tanks, pumps, piping, steam, and minor structural design issues).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Public Trust Clearance is required.
• Must be a United States Citizen

Location: USCG CEU Providence - Warwick, Rhode Island (Onsite)
