Title: Medical Payment Poster

We are seeking an independent and extremely detail oriented Medical Payment Poster. This position is responsible for accurately and timely posting of insurance payments, related contractual adjustments and denials through electronic remit stations and/or manual posting methods.

Job Duties:

• Post and reconcile all insurance payments to the bank account
• Posting insurance and third party payments, adjustments and contractual by either electronic means or manually
• Posting denials timely with the appropriate reason codes
• Transferring balances accurately so that billing and statements are produced timely
• Update and maintain spreadsheets used for reconciliation
• Balance Batches and run transaction reports
• Research unidentified payments and/or recoupment to determine appropriate resolution
• Maintain high level of productivity through speed and accuracy
• Work with the team to achieve daily, weekly and monthly deadlines

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED minimum, Associates Degree preferred
• Healthcare background required, specifically in electronic cash posting or billing
• Knowledge and understanding of insurance EOBs and medical terminology required
• Prior experience with high volume transactional environment
• Excellent typing and 10 Key skills
