Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and organized medical receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. We have three specialty clinics in one building sharing an administrative team. This position requires flexibility and adaptability as well as excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and performing various administrative duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and provide them with a warm and welcoming experience
  • Schedule appointments and manage the calendar of multiple healthcare professionals
  • Answer phone calls using a multi-line system and respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate
  • Manage payment processes including insurance verification and collecting copays
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and staff to provide the best patient experience
  • Ensure the waiting area and front desk are clean and organized at all times
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Work Experience, Skills and/or Education:

  • High school graduate or have equivalent qualification
  • Customer Service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Keen eye for detail to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Can appropriately convey information both orally and in writing to clients, clinical, and non-clinical personnel
  • Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage changing priorities and a heavy workload
  • Experience using multi-line phone, scanner, copier, computer, and fax preferred
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of electronic health records is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred
