Position: Mental Health Worker

Location: Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii

Experience: At least two years of mental health treatment experience preferred; Must have a current CSAC or show proof of actively working towards the CSAC certification*

*Must get CSAC certification within 1 ½ years of hire

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health

Type: Full-time; Temp to hire (1040 hours)

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm

Pay: $24/hour

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Mental Health Worker to join our awesome team!

Job Description

• Serves as a primary counselor for patients in the Outpatient Treatment Program
• Provides support, supervision, crisis intervention substance abuse and psychosocial rehabilitation services to the target population
• Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing a variety of groups and weekly individual sessions
• Responsible for management of a recovery environment to include implementation of individual recovery plans and the delivery of the programs

Position Requirements

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Current TB Clearance
• Knowledge of chemical dependency and major mental illnesses
• Ability to nurture and empower the patients
• Ability to prioritize
• Ability to evaluate and stabilize crisis situations
• Knowledge of community resources
