Description:Position will require personnel to independently perform non-routine and complex work assignments within the Stratford facility and for the larger RMS Metrology organization. Will be considered an emerging authority on all disciplines of Metrology, i.e., Physical Dimensional, RF/Microwave, Torque/Force, etc. Will be required to provide technical assistance and/or guidance to technicians in both salaried and hourly roles. Will be assigned special tasks for new lines of work, and/or enterprise level efforts as needed.
  • Support the calibration efforts of the local Metrology department through generation and review of calibration procedures, suggestion of more efficient methods, and participation in local audits.
  • Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on local contracts and metrology adjacent projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Support the enterprise organization in developing and evaluating policies and procedures to sustain compliance to ISO:17025, AS9100, and other relevant Quality Management systems.
  • Evaluate, complete, and maintain accurate records in and from the calibration management database.
  • Maintain skill proficiency through metrology/calibration training courses; stay current on technical advances and measurement theories in multiple Metrology disciplines
  • Manage personal tasks to ensure timely customer support, adherence to RMS level and local requirements, and adjust priorities as necessary based on management direction.
  • Support the Metrology Department in identifying areas for process improvements, and leading process improvement events where directed.
  • Provide direction and guidance to lower-level employees and peers as needed.
  • Develop, maintain, and update test equipment records and database information as needed/directed.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (Electrical Engineering, Physics, etc.), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a Master's Degree in a related discipline.
  • Extensive knowledge/experience in development of technical documents as they relate to Metrology and Calibration.
  • Ability to act on new lines of work or special assignments with little or no guidance.
  • Display competence in using computer programs for word processing, database functions, and data manipulation, i.e., Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and detail orientation.
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Experience monitoring Quality Management Systems (i.e. ISO-9001, AS-9100, etc.)
  • Experience monitoring Metrology processes and programs (i.e. ANSI-Z540, ISO-17025, etc.)
Desired Skills:
  • Experience auditing Metrology processes and programs (i.e. ANSI-Z540, ISO-17025, etc.)
  • Experience auditing Quality Management Systems (i.e. ISO-9001, AS-9100, etc.)
  • Formal or informal leadership roles; demonstrating developing Full Spectrum Leadership qualities
  • Advanced usage of MS Excel
  • Training and understanding of AMS2750 Heat treat survey and technical requirements.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
