Landscape Crew Leader/Foreman:
We are now accepting applications for Landscape Crew Leaders in Galena, OH for the 2022 season!
Summary:
Responsible for performing quality landscape services for our customers in a safe and efficient manner by effectively managing and leading the performance of 1-4 crew members on a daily basis.
Essential Job Functions:
- Report at the designated start time to review the schedule/route. *Mow grass using commercial mowing equipment. *Edge curbs and walks using a weedeater. *Cleanup of property using a backpack blower. *Bed and pavement weed control. *Pruning of shrubs and trees. *Soil preparation for flower and plant installation. *Installation of flowers, trees, and shrubs. *Cleanup of beds during spring operations. *Edge beds using a Little Wonder Bed Shaper. *Apply mulch to landscape beds. *Fall cleanup of leaves, perennials, and debris. *Load/Unload equipment onto trucks and trailers. *Secure equipment for transport to properties. *Clean trucks & equipment. *General equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE). *Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. *Walk for long periods of time. *Stand, bend & squat for up to 10 or more hours per day. *Ability to work overtime and weekends as required. *Carry a 20-lb. backpack blower on your back. *Use the company's mobile time entry software.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Control of Job Site. *Conduct site inspections upon arrival and prior to departure from the job site. *Identify and report turf, tree, and shrub insect/disease problems or other property issues to your manager. *Assist your crew in the performance of services/tasks assigned to them. *Communicate customer questions or concerns to the manager.
Employee Supervision:
- Assign work to crew members. *On the job training of crew members to properly perform assigned tasks. *Make sure crew members are operating equipment in a safe manner and that the correct personal protective equipment is utilized. *Assure uniform standards of crew members.
Efficiency:
Organize/Manage the delivery of work in a manner to achieve budgeted hours for each function while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $17.50 - $25.00/hour.
