Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin, a sister company of Growth Ortho, i s hiring a full-time New Patient Scheduler for our Communications department in Austin, TX.

As a New Patient Scheduler for OSA, you will be responsible for performing switchboard operating and patient medical services scheduling as required by the position. Coordinates suitable time to perform the specified patient care procedure with the appropriate patient care provider. Provides clinical staff sufficient information about the patient appointment so they can be properly prepared to provide the service. Obtains the appropriate demographic information about the patient for the business office to begin the insurance verification process. Demonstration of the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economical backgrounds to organize, set priorities, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment must be exhibited.

Job Requirements:
  • Education requirements:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: 1 year of healthcare experience preferred. This position will require in office training. Once training is complete this will be a work from home position.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Performs clerical duties within established procedural guidelines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Time Management
  • Performs all duties as assigned by supervisor
