YOUR LIFE AS A NONPROFIT PROGRAM SPECIALIST - COMMUNITY COACH

This part-time vocational rehabilitation position in human services works during the day.

As a part-time Nonprofit Program Specialist - Community Coach with our customer service team, you serve as a liaison and motivator by building community knowledge of our Jobs-Plus program. You attend community events and resident meetings as a representative of our program to promote engagement and gather referrals. Through one-on-one meetings with residents, you ensure our program maintains a good reputation. You also assist our career development specialists and the assistant director with the development of a network of community partnerships.

Additionally, you perform outreach activities within the service area as assigned by our assistant director. Using your exceptional customer service skills, you serve as the liaison between residents and our Jobs-Plus program staff. You also help with planning community workshops and fundraising events as well as updating and maintaining geographical referral lists. As needed, you facilitate communication with community partners and help members navigate intake processes with external providers. Being able to help other people brings you great satisfaction, which encourages you to put forth your best effort each day!


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Experience in maintaining a social media presence
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Verified resident of housing developments in service area
  • Enrolled in JP or the ability to enroll upon hire
  • Covid-19 vaccination

Experience working with community agents or service providers is preferred, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
