Job Discription
Hands-on, functional Ocean Operations Supervisor, proficient in handling ocean
import shipments from A-Z including data entry, shipment tracking, warehouse
sorting per client's instructions, arranging pickup, delivery, and billing. Directing
the team to reach the corporate objectives and requirements and managing the
team's performance.
Responsibilities:
★ Maintain vendor trucking relationships with competitive market pricing
★ Direct client solutions team and provide high-level and professional customer
service to clients. Ensure customers’ service commitments are achieved and
maintained.
★ Direct the OP team to process documentations and related paperwork per
client’s commodity requirements.
★ Oversee, guide, coordinate, and decision-making to ensure shipments are
processed and completed based on the compliance requirements.
★ Create, develop, and improve Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for OP team
and ensure the procedure is being properly handled.
★ Strong cost/procedure/urgency/safety control, vendor relation, exception
management and customer satisfactions skills are required.
★ Monitor and maintain all rates and pricing items in the system to keep billing
accuracy.
★ Monitor, maintain files and job documents for clients to ensure the work
completed is in accordance with the final billing within the company posting
policy timeframe.
★ Prepare and review weekly, monthly status reports with the company
directors.
★ Direct and coordinate warehouse team to receive cargo, inspect the condition,
and verify the piece count/weight, verify the packaging requirement (if there’s anyspecial packaging requirements for such commodity) and ensure the
documentation is being entered accurately.
★ Maintain the good business relationship with all vendors
Requirements
★ Minimum 3 years of Ocean Operation Management experience is required.
★ Proficient in computer operations (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, Freight
forwarding systems such as Cargowise, etc).
★ Excellent communication and rapports internally and externally,
well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow through the work and
prioritize.
★ Excellent Verbal/written communication skills amid organizations.
★ Multi-tasking and well-organized in details
