Job Description
Cost Basis Operations (CBO) is part of the Custody & Asset Services division of Operational Services. We are dedicated to leading a culture that delivers timely and accurate tax reporting in our efforts to create a premier client experience, while providing a controlled and disciplined environment that allows our employees to feel valued and engaged. CBO is under the Shared Support Services umbrella.
Research and process cost basis adjustments and updates, including General Edits, Date of Death Step-ups, Versus Purchase, Cost Method Changes, etc.- Reconcile positions and transactions against Schwab’s cost basis database and other systems of record
- Ensure proper cost basis reporting on tax forms
- Perform bulk and/or complex cost basis updates, as needed
Highly motivated and results driven- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for service quality
- Proficient in Excel, ability to work with large data sets
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred
