Job Description
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a NOC / Operations Team Lead to supervise a small team of network technicians providing network monitoring and incident management services to our U.S. Navy Customer on site at Arlington, VA and the Washington Navy Yard, DC. This position allows for both onsite and remote work.
What will you do:
- Supervise a small team of network technicians with daily activities and operations.
- Monitor and investigate network outages on the Navy Public Safety Network (PSNET).
- Provide technical guidance for network outage investigations and troubleshooting.
- Supervise, organize, and direct the NOC team to ensure the stable operation of the NOC.
- Produce reports and other deliverables to customer and government stakeholders.
- Ensure the effective monitoring and response to hardware outages and network incidents.
- Coordinate and manage certain projects that fall within the NOC’s scope.
Qualifications:
- BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7, in lieu of a bachelors degree must have 14 years of IT experience.
- Must have Top Secret clearance
- Certifications such as Cisco, Juniper, CompTIA or other vendor certifications.
- DoD 8570 certifications such as CompTIA Sec+, CASP, or CISSP. Employees without certifications can be granted a 90 day window to obtain the certifications.
- Deep understanding of troubleshooting network incidents.
