As a
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® outside sales representative, you will visit customers' homes and businesses to provide customized moving estimates by using your strategic selling skills, in-depth knowledge of company services, and top notch customer service. In this role, you will educate customers on the moving process, make product recommendations, and act as a customers' main point of contact throughout their move.
No cold-calling; all consultations occur after customers request an estimate for our services.
Responsibilities
In the field
- Travel locally to customers’ homes and businesses
- Survey the property and take down inventory to estimate moving costs
- Recommend and sell relevant value-added services
- Educate customers on moving practices
- Handle displeased customers calmly; communicate any concerns to management
In the office
- Input customer information accurately into move software to create an estimate
- Prepare all move-related paperwork
- Gather customer feedback through regular follow-up calls
- Create performance reports to track sales, customer satisfaction and mystery shop data
Requirements

- High school diploma or GED; associate’s degree in a related field preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of sales (over-the-phone and in-person) and/or customer service experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Excellent customer service skills: effective listening and communication
- Ability to multi-task and enter customer data into move software while on the phone
- Confidence to initiate customer contact and comfortable asking for the sale
- Intermediate computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office programs and able to learn new software
- Creative problem solving skills
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Strong team player who works productively with a wide range of people and personalities
