Lyon Shipyard has an opening for a great administrative support technician. GReat work environment. Steady paced daily work routine. M-F 6 AM-230 PM Oppportunity to advance if that is your goal. SOME AREAS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

General office duties to include typing, filing, scanning and e-mailing correspondences.• Schedule meetings; organize events, order supplies and materials for locals.• Review invoices for accuracy.• Generate monthly budget reports • Streamline office procedures to reduce time, money and create an efficient workflow.• Operate a variety of standard office and data processing equipment.• Maintain confidentiality of personnel matters.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Aids management in staff capacity by coordinating office services, such as personnel, budget preparation and control, housekeeping, time and attendance, records control, and special management studies: Studies management methods in order to improve workflow, simplify reporting procedures, or implement cost reductions.
  • Analyzes unit operating practices, such as recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layout, suggestion systems, personnel and budgetary requirements, and performance standards to create new systems or revise established procedures.
  • Works with management on methods of improving work measurements or performance standards.
  • Coordinates collection and preparation of operating reports, such as time-and-attendance records, terminations, new hires, transfers, budget expenditures, and statistical records of performance data.
  • Prepares reports including conclusions and recommendations for solution of administrative problems.
  • Issues and interprets operating policies.
  • Reviews and answers correspondence.
  • May assist in preparation of budget needs and annual reports of organization.
  • Coordination of job interviews with HR, welcome new employees, and assist with any training and coordinate meetings, as directed.
  • May compile, store, and retrieve management data, using computer.
