Dog Groomer
At Lucky Pet we aim to raise the bar on customer service and pet care. We offer a clean, friendly and respectful working atmosphere at a great location. We are fully booked and ready to receive a new groomer. We schedule the grooming appointments for you. Come see for yourself!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide full-service all breed dog grooming including bathing, drying, dematting, ect.
  • Maintain good communication with dog owners by offering breed-appropriate grooming advice and notifying of any health and/or skin condition observed in the dog.
  • Listen to and fulfill dog owner requests, and be able to offer and explain the different types of grooming rates.
  • Stay abreast of trends, technologies, and up-to-date information related to dog grooming.
  • Take good care of equipment and maintain grooming equipment at optimal conditions at all times.
  • Must have the grooming area organized and clean, including grooming cages.
  • Be informed of hygiene products and grooming accessories available at Lucky Pet in order to provide knowledgeable advice to dog owners.
  • Log records of services received on each dog and be able to book future appointments, if necessary.
  • Send report cards after each grooming.
  • Other grooming related duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • Patience and kindness to calm and handle dogs who may get stressed out in unfamiliar situations.
  • Customer service. You will work directly with customers and must be friendly, listen to their requests, and answer their questions.
  • Attention to details. You must always pay attention to what you are doing, so that the dogs, you and your colleagues stay safe.
  • Team spirit. At Lucky Pet, we are one for all. As colleagues, we communicate, share experiences, and offer advice and assistance to one another with respect.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a dog groomer
  • Willing and interested in learning new skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to handle and carry dogs of any size

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $36,922.00 - $40,879.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Commission pay
  • Tips

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Pet Grooming: 1 year (Required)
