Job Description

We are BoothMeUp LV, a premium black-owned Photo Booth Rental company serving the Las Vegas area. Currently seeking 1-2 dependable booth attendants (entertainment hosts) to add to our on call selection. The gigs in this industry are off and on, so there should an expectation to work on a contract basis, as you are needed. We typically assign 2 attendants to a booking. The goal is to be a full service agency, so if you have a hand in event photography, color grading, VFX, advanced video editing, and social media reels, this would be a great asset for our team.

Your main role is to operate our booths and engage with all guests to ensure they have an out of this world experience . You must have a Huge, inviting, and bubbly personality, representing the brand in the best manner possible with our clients and their guests. This also involves constant standing during a 2-8 hour event with high energy. We look for team players who can jump in where they fit in, handling ad-hoc tasks without being told what to do. Being able to think ahead and work autonomously is extremely important. Having the ability to direct guests on what to do and how to pose would be highly beneficial.

You will be signed under an independent contractor arrangement, with the ability to be on call within 72 hours notice. Most events will be scheduled with at least 2 week’s notice. You may only see 1-2 events/month (5-16 hours) and as business fully ramps up, you can expect to see 3-6+ events /month (15-40+hours).

PUNCTUALITY IS CRITICAL! Contract can be terminated at anytime as a result.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver, set up and dismantle the photo booth at events.
  • Operate the photo booth and ensure the smooth running of the equipment.
  • Interact with guests and encourage them to use the photo booth.
  • Recommend unique poses and engage with high energy
  • Keep the photo booth area clean and organized.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise with the equipment.
  • Using best judgement of booth placement at the assigned venue and preventing trip hazards
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other event staff
  • Execute role with a professional demeanour
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Assist team with any tasks to be completed or relieving each other for breaks

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills and friendly demeanor
  • Ability to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Comfortable with technology and able to troubleshoot minor issues
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work mornings, evenings and/or weekends
  • Punctual Timing
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Prior experience working with photo booths or similar equipment is a plus
  • Fun, sociable and outgoing personality
  • Photography and/or Videography experience a plus
  • Ability to work inconsistent shifts with as little as 72 hours advance notice given
  • Able to travel as needed
  • Ability to adapt to outside weather or unfavourable venue conditions
  • Go-getter mentality. Engage lookers and continually promote the business to potential clients

What We Offer

  • $20/hr for social events, $25/hr for corporate events.
  • Pay within 24-48 hours of hours worked. No taxes are taken out since you are working under an independent contractor agreement.
  • $0.655/mi mileage reimbursement (2023 IRS Rate)
