Job Description
September opening in a private, non-profit, NAEYC accredited preschool. Join a developmentally oriented, professional and supportive team and community, in a stimulating, creative and Reggio-inspired learning environment.Co-Teacher: 35 hours per week (teaching plus meeting and preparation time), with an additional 4 hours of paid time each month for whole staff meetings. Responsibilities include assessment of needs and curriculum development for children, parent conferences, record keeping, all shared with a co-teacher. The school follows an academic school year calendar over 38 weeks.
There is the possibility of additional teaching in a six-week summer program as well.Candidates should be caring, empathetic. friendly, and possess the ability to meet each childs social, emotional physical and intellectual needs where they are. We are looking for flexible and collaborative colleagues, comfortable communicating with families, valuing the uniqueness of each child. Knowledge of emergent curriculum development a plus.
Competitive salary ($24-$35 per hour depending on educational background and relevant experience) and benefits, including health care, contributions towards retirement and flexible access to personal days.EEC credentials and teaching experience required.
