Process Technician job at EPIC Health System in Southfield, MI 48075

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Manage the portfolio of process improvement projects among the clinical operations departments
Work with the matrix team as clinical operations process improvement projects cross departments and functional areas
Train, coach and develop managers to effectively utilize continuous improvement principles and LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies
Document current workflows, identify bottlenecks/at risk areas, develop recommendations for change/new process, coordinate implementation, make adjustments as needed, monitor post-implementation process improvements
Apply automation and innovation to all process improvement projects
Evaluate project performance and key performance indicators, including ROI
Ensure key stakeholder requirements are met on all process improvement initiatives
Identify and share best practices across the matrix team
Create process improvement training program with the performance team

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Experience managing process improvement projects required, preferably in healthcare

Black Belt LEAN/Six Sigma

Bachelor’s degree required

Master’s degree preferred

Project management certification preferred

Preferred Skills

General understanding of the healthcare industry

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

Project Management skills

Process Improvement skills

Organized, strong attention to detail, ability to self-direct through prioritizing and pivoting as needed to meet deadlines

Proficient in Microsoft office suite, ability to quickly learn other applications relevant to role
