Job Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:

• Participates in establishing goals and standards of performance for the production area. Plans, schedules and assigns the work of the department, and maintains work efficiency.
• Leads, organizes, trains, and coaches team.
• Responsible for continual and rapid improvement in operations to meet basic customer needs.
• Continuously monitors quality of work and production efficiency in the department.
• Arranges for proper maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Explains and enforces company policies and rules; maintains discipline, administers disciplinary action for rule violations, misconduct, absenteeism or deficient performance.
• Authorizes and approves time off where appropriate for employees; maintains surveillance of unsatisfactory attendance.
• Implements safety programs and policies, and conducts safety training. Investigates all injuries and near misses within the area of supervision, and implements corrective actions.
• Continuously seeks cost reductions and recommends improvements to procedures, processes, equipment and layout.

Qualifications of the Production Supervisor:

• 3+ years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Energetic and Action Oriented individual
• Excellent Problem Solving skills
• Uses time effectively and efficiently
