Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide enhanced direct program support requiring considerable experience, skill, and knowledge of organization policies and practices. This incumbent assist members of the multidisciplinary team, which may include physicians, nurse practitioners, coordinators, nurses, psychosocial staff and management as needed. The role also supports the overall programmatic quality and performance improvement initiatives, unit workflow, and customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists in daily program operations including clinic (scheduling translation services), office (distribution of mail & fax), and patient care activities (coordinates submission of necessary medical paperwork); interacts with patients, families and staff including verbal and written communication; coordinates program meetings including scheduling, preparing agenda, producing documents, and taking and transcribing meeting minutes.
  • Answers phones and triages phone calls to appropriate staff, obtains results from non-Children's laboratories; creates and manages on-call calendars; provides coverage for other staff/programs when necessary; provides updates to various regulatory agencies; collects and maintains operational reports for the program.
  • Prepares patient packets (pre-op, admission) and family education, notebooks, and logs; obtains appropriate records, prepares and sends to medical records; assists in compilation of data for program Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI); serve on department committees; perform other duties and projects as required.
Work Experience
  • Program support of a complex medical practice or hospital department Preferred
This is a full-time Onsite role working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be some occasional times where you may be required to be flexible with your time.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent Required
