POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Performance Engineer:

  • Is part developer – developing frameworks, tools, stubs, mocks and part tester – building and executing performance, stability and resiliency tests;
  • performs root cause analysis and provides recommendations.; and,
  • works on enterprise applications with traditional and cutting-edge architectures, patterns and tech-stacks and database technologies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:

  • Is responsible for developing and maintaining performance test scripts in a prioritized and standardized manner as identified by the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, Director and Product Line Director
  • Coordinates and organizes requested performance testing and verification of assigned products to ensure the delivery of top-level software products to external clients
  • Participates in performance status calls with team members and management
  • Supports and understands the basic workflow of products assigned for performance testing
  • Possesses good verbal and written communication skills
  • Provides weekly metrics to management
  • Adjusts timelines/requests based on resource project allocations
  • Monitors the verification of product's performance

Other Duties:

  • Maintains working relationships with all internal departments
  • Participates in presentations as Subject Matter Expert (SME)

QUALIFICATIONS:


Skills

Required:


  • Ability and tenacity to take each performance issue as far as possible, often to the point of being able to suggest a fix
  • 1+ years' experience with Performance testing tools such as NeoLoad, LoadRunner, JMeter, SoapUI etc.
  • 1+ years' experience writing utilities/tools/frameworks in C#, Java, Python, JavaScript etc.
  • 1+ years' experience with SQL/NoSQL to generate data for performance testing
  • 1+ years' experience with application monitoring tools like SiteScope, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design
  • Exposure to Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Exposure to Azure Cloud Platform Products and Amazon Web Services
  • Proficient in the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Learns new software as needed

  • 1+ years' experience as a Performance Engineer and 2+ years as a QA Analyst

    • Knowledge of programming languages
