QUALITY CONTROL ASSISTANT

Position Summary:

Entry Level Position. Supports the Production and Quality Control Department by performing in-field quality control inspections. Part time and full time positions available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-line inspection and end-of-line inspection on the production floor of all factories
  • Ensure that any and all defects are communicated/flagged to the manager/supervisor in order to address the issue immediately and propose a corrective solution
  • Enforce the company’s quality standards and expectations when dealing with factories, while at the same time maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Help schedule inline/final inspections
  • Monitor factory and supplier performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
  • Responsible for analysis of quality reports and preparing improvement plan
  • Aid in all aspects of QC activities related to internal or external audits
  • Be able to work autonomously and be a team player

Minimum qualifications:

  • 1+ years’ experience in apparel production
  • Knowledge of garment and fabric construction, terminology, measurements, and workmanship
  • Ability to accurately measure a garment
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid CA driver’s license, and proof of insurance
  • Organized
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets
  • Able to manage multiple prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Spanish speaking is a plus

Working Environment / Conditions

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Position requires driving throughout the day to various factories around LA
  • Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor under pressure
  • Ability to react and adapt to change

Physical Requirements

  • Sit, stand, lift up to 50lbs

This is a flexible based position. Must reside in Los Angeles, CA or Santa Barbara, CA area. If based in Los Angeles, must commute to Santa Barbara 1x per week. If based in Santa Barbara, must commute to Los Angeles 2x per week and work in JOAH BROWN HQ.
