Quality Control Inspector

Biewer Wisconsin Sawmill is looking to add a full-time Quality Control

Inspector in Prentice, WI. This position will be under the direction of

the Optimization Manager and will supervise, direct, develop, and

coordinate activities related to quality control by ensuring that all

manufactured goods meet the company’s specific standards in

quality while minimizing downtime in production.

Hours: Monday through Thursday 8 AM – 5 PM, Friday 8 AM – 12 PM

Accountabilities
Primary responsibilities will include:

Professionally summarize and report final inspection results to Plant

Manager daily.

Immediately inform supervisors of deficiency/discrepancies involving

quality of product and/or issues with the process that is adversely

affecting quality.

Develops and provides training to support the company with its

continuous improvement goals.

Assist Optimization Manager in machine center optimization,

alignment, and calibration.

Perform minor maintenance and adjustments when necessary.

Ensure safe work practices, follow safety procedures, and complete

safety forms, checklists, and permits.

Qualifications
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word

Previous experience in related field preferred.

Working knowledge of office devices and processes.

Excellent communication skills

Very good organizational and multi-tasking abilities

Must be self-motivated

Must be mathematically inclined and capable of obtaining precise

measurements.

Capable of working with minimal direct supervision.
