The opportunity:

The Sales Engineer position is primarily responsible for sales and business development of electric power generation products and services including generators, switchgears, control systems, and service and maintenance contracts. In addition to direct selling, the Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers and influencers throughout their assigned territory. The Sales Engineer will actively seek to grow the business by working with customers to solve their power generation needs through product sizing and application guidance, construction layout services, training, and support. Duties include specification interpretation, system design, and engineering, proposal and pricing development, and customer relationship management.

Position Qualifications:

• 5+ years power generation experience in generator dealer sales, project management, and/or engineering
• 10+ years sales experience in construction, electrical, commercial/ industrial markets
• Experience in CRM/Saleforce applications
• Engineering Degree- Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical (preferred but not required)
• Strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated sense of urgency
• Demonstrated electrical & mechanical aptitude
• Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and read drawings/prints/ specifications
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent sales skills with an understanding of value-added selling
• Lives in the Pacific Northwest for customer visits
