Purpose:

Responsible for vehicle checks at Security Entrance gates. Clear unregistered visitors with appropriate party. Maintain daily log to ensure that only authorized individuals are on the premises. Check all employees upon arrival for proper identification.

Essential Duties:

  • Take gallon reading from pump house-water, gas and check warning lights at treatment plants.
  • Make rounds of the premises and check all areas, including outside boundaries.
  • Responsible for the security of all buildings and equipment located on campus, ensuring that all doors and windows are locked as required.
  • Provide residents stand by assistance in an emergency situation.
  • Use all communication equipment and codes properly, maintain constant contact with radio system.
  • Notify supervisor in the event of an emergency or trouble and assist the administration with emergencies as directed.

Qualification:

  • For purposes of effective communication with residents, families and staff must be able to see, hear, speak, read and write English.
  • Maintain ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, lift unassisted at least 50 lbs, walk or stand up to eight hours and sit for up to two hours.
  • Prior experience desirable.
  • Class D security license preferred.

Hourly Rate:

  • $11.00 - $14.30

Background Checks:

A criminal history background check and sex offender registry check will be required for the finalist under consideration for this position. We are a drug free workplace.
