We’re seeking an enthusiastic Actuarial Manager who enjoys learning about complex reinsurance structures, following the IBNR to the general ledger, building data structures for financial reporting, and showing off their knack for accounting terminology.

You’ll be working across multiple lines of business to help distribute IBNR on a gross and net basis and build optimized data structures for all reporting purposes. In order to understand the reserves and the impact to the company, you will collaborate closely with members of the Reserving & Pricing Actuarial, Accounting, FP&A, Finance, Insurance Product, and Data Science teams.

In this role you'll:

• Develop detailed, clear, and optimized processes for key teams to follow
• Optimize and effectively articulate reinsurance strategies for the company
• Investigate and understand changes in results on a gross and net basis monthly
• Properly document methods and activities for all analyses
• Leverage your analytical and modeling skills to automate and streamline processes
• Further your own actuarial education through CAS exams and industry research while applying those learnings on the job

What you’ll need:

• 7+ years of P&C actuarial experience; ACAS or greater preferred
• B.S. in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• General knowledge of data science programming languages such as R (preferred) or Python, and proficiency in database query tools such as SQL
• Broad understanding of reinsurance concepts and financial reporting requirements
