Job Description:
DTN is looking for a remote, Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team. This role will work with our team that supports our mapping services which provides visualizations of the weather data for internal & external customers.
What You'll Do:
  • Analyze, design, develop, and test complex software applications and related programs and procedures used in local and/or cloud-based applications to ensure they meet design requirements in accordance with existing architecture & IT standards.
  • Apply deep knowledge and experience in current programming language and technologies to write code used in internal, commercial or end-user applications, and perform testing and debugging of applications.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements using defined practices and policies.
  • Participate and/or lead quality improvement processes like code reviews and provides constructive feedback.
  • Complete documentation and procedures for deployment and operational support.

  • Java
  • JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js
  • GIS experience
  • AWS
  • Experience developing rest based services
  • Backend development experience
  • Python
