If that's you, get with us because this role at UnitedHealth Group is all about special. This function is responsible for medical and ancillary product premium billing. Positions in this function interact with customers gathering support data to ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepancies. Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function. Educate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applications. Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed. Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables. May also include quality assurance and audit of billing activities.

This position is full-time Monday - Friday . Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

This is a challenging role that requires providing best in class service to our customers during their times of difficulty. It's a fast-paced environment that requires focus and ability to multi-task throughout the day. This is a 40-hour, full time role working flexible shifts, sometimes including evenings or Saturdays. We require our employees to be flexible enough to work any shift, any day of the week during those hours.

Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree (or higher) OR High School Diploma / GED with equivalent years of working experience
• 2+ years of experience in a related environment (i.e., office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
• 1+ years in medical billing, collections, or other administrative tasks
• 1+ years experience with workers compensation
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and navigation, mouse, and keyboarding skills
• Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:00am – 5:00pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekend (holiday) given the business need

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher)
• 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Word (creating, editing, saving documents) and Microsoft Excel (creating, editing, saving spreadsheets)
• Allscripts experience
• Citrix experience
• Online payer portal experience

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
