Manufacturing Technology Specialist II

The Manufacturing Technology Specialist II learns the design and delivery of a wide variety of technical and team initiatives to address skills and development for employees within Niagara.

Essential Functions

Training Delivery

• Deliver training to participants
• Conduct pre/post training assessments

Instructional Design

• Manage the development of instructor-led courses and ongoing support materials
• Ensure training materials are in line with overall training strategy and approach
• Works with the Content Coordinator to create assigned end user training documentation and ongoing support material, according to defined standards
• Manage the Manufacturing Technology Specialist Trainee training development resources
• Transfer knowledge to the Manufacturing Technology Specialist Trainee for inclusion in training documentation
• Coach and counsel the Manufacturing Technology Specialist Trainee in the development of course materials
• Coordinate and facilitate train-the-trainee workshops during new Manufacturing Technology Specialist Trainee onboarding
• Conduct internal reviews of course materials with the Manufacturing Technology Specialist Trainee
• Provides a final technical review of all eLearning courseware
• Communicate effectively with training stakeholders for any requirements
• Supports periodic training needs assessment to ensure training needs are being met
• Collaborate with other Technical Services groups to write, or work with vendors to develop, written and demonstration-based Skills Assessments to determine baseline knowledge of all Niagara Mfg Technical personnel
• Teach equipment-specific root-cause troubleshooting methods
• Lead in the curriculum design for training programs, activities including instructor led, online, and alternative. This person will assist in the responsibilities of the team for developing and writing content, both traditional and e-learning training and materials

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 Years – Experience in business analysis or adult learning theory or similar manufacturing environment
  • 2 Years – Experience in Position
  • 0 Years – Experience managing people/projects

• Minimum Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field pertaining to manufacturing.

  • Master's Degree in business, education or related field.
