The Sr Project Manager for CAHPS/ HOS will be directly responsible for managing execution of CAHPS/ HOS strategic priorities and improvement initiatives and will define and manage the process of achieving set objectives and goals. This individual provides business support, manages CAHPS/HOS quality improvement and implementation projects, facilitates meetings, and manages documents and workflows. The Project Manager will identify project planning and prioritization, develop documentation for project timelines and own the full project, working closely with cross-functional teams and leadership, staff and/or stakeholders to achieve stated project goals and deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support National Clinical Quality team and the markets in managing CAHPS/ HOS strategic projects, working collaboratively with the national team and care delivery leadership and partners
  • Act as lead to pull necessary internal resources together to provide appropriate and effective consultation and/or solutions to address CAHPS/HOS needs
  • Ensure alignment and understanding of program/project scope and objectives with the organization's strategic objectives in delivering CAHPS/HOS solutions to the markets and members, in consultation with applicable stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans (including resource assignments, schedules, dependencies, etc.) ensuring all project deliverables and success criteria are identified
  • Identify project duration, effort, sequence, and dependencies of tasks required to meet applicable project objectives. Ensure that all impacted areas are identified, and that appropriate resources are engaged to participate in the scope definition process
  • Ensure that project schedules include all tasks and activities necessary to achieve project objectives
  • Monitor and report progress throughout the project life cycle, using appropriate project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., dashboards, metrics)
  • Establish/implement/comply with change management processes to drive effective project execution (e.g., launch, deployment, revisions, change control)
  • Identify/prioritize potential risks/issues in a timely way throughout the project life cycle. Communicate project risk/issue events, responses, and results to applicable stakeholders (e.g., project team, leadership, business partners)
  • Create/generate/distribute project reports/documentation to applicable stakeholders (e.g., project status, metrics, outcomes, issues, risks, opportunities) on a weekly basis

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years health industry experience and/or in a large complex matrixed organization experience
  • 3+ years of program management and/or operational experience managing significant and complex projects
  • Experience with CAHPS and/or HOS programs and/or patient experience
  • Expert at strategic conceptualization both at a local level and enterprise level
  • Proven solid team building, collaboration, and motivational skills
  • Proven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into tactical initiatives
  • Proven ability to build relationships cross-functionally, at all levels of the organization and lead toward common goals
  • Proven results-oriented
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills


Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in project management (or PMP)
