What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a financial services organization design, develop, build, modify, and support scalable Java enterprise middleware software systems and applications using J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate to encapsulate business logic and database access.
• Analyze user needs and requirements, and implement performance enhancements to authoring, publishing, archival and distribution systems for capital research systems.
• Utilize Javascript, HTML5, CSS, and Flex to build Graphical User Interface (GUI) for desktop and mobile platforms.
• Design, develop, test, and validate database schema and database level objects utilizing SQL server and Sybase to create database stored procedures, triggers, and SQL queries to store, retrieve, and manipulate data.
• Configure and manage Weblogic and JBoss application servers with clustering, high availability, and failover to run Java/J2EE applications.
• Develop and maintain batch processes using Unix/Perl scripts to meet risk, operational, and control requirements, improve reliability, and implement server and application monitoring.
• Utilize JMS and MQ Series messaging services to transfer data between external applications and systems.
• Coordinate software system installation workflow among team members.

What we’re looking for:

Must have minimum of Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or closely related field and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience as a Software Engineer/Developer, Programmer, or closely related occupation. Will accept Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in specified fields and three (3) years of experience in specified role as an alternative.

Must have at least three (3) years of experience with each of the following required skills:

• Designing scalable Java enterprise middleware software systems and applications using J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate;
• Utilizing Javascript, HTML5, CSS, and Angular/Flex to build Graphical User Interface (GUI) for desktop platforms;
• Designing and developing database schema and database level objects utilizing SQL server and Oracle to create database stored procedures, triggers, and SQL queries;
• Configuring and managing Weblogic and JBoss application servers to run Java/J2EE applications;
• Developing and maintaining batch processes using Unix/Perl scripts to improve reliability, and implement server and application monitoring; and
• Utilizing JMS to transfer data between external applications and systems.

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.

Salary/Rate Minimum/yr: $190,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
