The role is a part of the IT team within our Technology group.

What you'll do

Successful candidates will join a team of developers responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems in various departments at American Airlines. These highly strategic departments continue to increase their reliance on technology to solve their business problems. Candidates will participate in all phases of the development process from inception through transition. In addition, candidates may provide production support and be involved in maintenance and small enhancement work. Candidates will get experience with analysis, modeling, design, construction and testing. Candidates will use Windows, Linux, or similar. Additionally, candidates will gain experience working with technologies such as Spring, JSP, SQL, Oracle, Apache, WebSphere or JBoss, JMS, HTML, and JavaScript.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Must be able to work well within a team environment as well as independently
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• The ideal candidate will have some experience in programming language such as Java, C++, and C#.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Exposure to UML and the principles of Agile software development are desired
