YOUR IMPACT
You will have the opportunity to help us shape the future of our site and positively impact the full spectrum of Guidance, Navigation, and Controls development. You will also be trusted with everything from modeling, GNC, navigation and/or flight controls and System Integration Lab/ flight hardware support.

Beyond that, you may also find yourself:
  • Working development and design work
  • Guiding and coordinating work with equipment vendors
  • Presenting, coordinating, and collaborating with government customers and partners under the general direction of technology roadmap and program leadership

Basic Qualifications:
  • Engineering Degree in Aeronautics/Aerospace or other related engineering degree or related engineering or technical field
  • Prior weapons experience across Guidance, Navigation, and/or Controls (GNC) disciplines
  • Prior experience with modeling, GNC, navigation and/or flight controls
  • Prior experience with 6DOF and/or 3DOF simulations in MATLAB & SIMULINK
Desired Skills:
  • Highly proficient in MATLAB/SIMULINK/StateFlow tools
  • 5+ years of work experience developing GNC algorithms & 6DoF modelling & simulations
  • Experience with missile guidance development for boost phase, mid-course, and terminal/end game phases
  • Experience with developing Fly-Out-Models for integration into the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) Precision Guided Mission Planning System (PGMPS) mission planning system
  • Experience with seeker/sensor integration with guidance algorithms
  • Experience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
  • Experience troubleshooting software/system anomalies in the System Integration Lab/ flight hardware
  • Git and version control tools – GitLab CI/CD pipeline including GitLab runner, dockers, etc.

Clearance Level: Secret with an investigation within 6 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
