Job Description

Part-time/Per-Diem

The Speech Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services within ALFs/ILFs/and the community. SLP will provide direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.

Will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance.

Candidates we're seeking:

Must have prior Medicare billing (8-minute rule with cpt codes) + documentation experience. An individual who thrives within an autonomous setting meeting expectations for scheduling and caseload management.

Responsibilities/duties:

  • Work collaboratively with the therapy team and Rehab Department
  • Complete evaluations and all necessary documentation
  • Provide recommendations supporting communications/assessments
  • Provide speech therapy as outlined in treatment plans and prescriptions
  • Offer treatments that help improve patient’s speech and/or dysphagia and overall ability to communicate
  • Independently manage workflow which includes allotting time for treatment documentation of individual and group treatments and notes in the electronic records system

Requirements:

  • Valid Speech Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or eligibility to apply
  • Degree from an accredited speech therapy program
  • Liability insurance
  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • Current CPR certification

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Per diem

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour
