Responsibilities

Develops advanced analytical methods to characterize and understand polymeric biomaterials, medical devices, and their interactions with biology.

Independently designs and conduct complex, non-standard laboratory studies to solve technical challenges.

Provides technical leadership by applying scientific expertise to identify and resolve complex analytical issues; developing thorough, practical solutions that are consistent with organization objectives and require creativity.

Executes studies and conducts testing without deviation. Analyzes data from multiple, complex studies to derive a decision on functional deliverable.

Answers ad hoc questions related to chemical/biological characterization, spectral interpretation, or imaging technologies.

Thoroughly and clearly documents and/or reviews experiments in laboratory notebook; prepares high quality technical documents.

Communicates and collaborates well with colleagues within and cross functional teams. Offers assistance to co-workers.

Participates constructively in functional sub-teams to achieve specific functional deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Advanced degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Science, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related majors.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (B.S. +5 yrs; M.S.+3 yrs; PhD +0 yrs)

The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
