Responsibilities

Ultimately, you will help us build an exception and industry leading website and overall digital Customer experience by identifying the best implementation for new and improved website features and supporting tools.
  • Leverage experience to provide software development best practices and helping the organization implement those best practices.
  • Identify, communicate, and lead the resolution of gaps that impede the fulfillment of customer and operational objectives.
  • Define, monitor, and help refine metrics to validate the efficacy of our approach.
  • Identify user and system requirements for new websites and applications.
  • Prioritize software development projects.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Managing Director – Ecommerce Systems to prioritize website development projects.
  • Help set project timelines by providing a technical perspective on proposed new features and/or website changes.
  • Write or review code for various applications.
  • Run functionality testing and debug code.
  • Collaborate with designers to implement website features and functionality.
  • Ensure our software documentation is up to date.
  • Collaborate with Managing Director – Ecommerce Systems to evaluate new technologies that will best help us meet the needs of our Customers.
  • Build mobile-responsive websites.

Requirements and skills

  • 10+ years web development experience, preferably with responsive mobile first ecommerce websites
  • Knowledge in building and maintaining a scalable fast web site.
  • Expertise in at least one programming language, preferably JavaScript, C# or Java
  • Expertise in at least one library React, Angular, Vue, Svelte
  • Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Experience implementing
    • Content Management System, preferably headless
    • Search and Discovery tool, preferably Algolia
    • Call tracking
  • Understanding of security practices
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Knowledge or internationalization (i18n)
  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or relevant field
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and contribute to the development process
  • Work with product owner to identify user and system requirements to support our ecommerce website.
  • Work with project management and product owner to prioritize software development projects and set timelines.
  • Architect and develop web applications.
  • Work with DevOps to deploy.
