Your Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with product leadership, designers, and engineers to build and maintain the shopper app
  • Work across the organization with other engineering teams to architect the right solution
  • Interact with 3rd party vendors for product support
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot shopper app issues
  • Find creative, scalable solutions for common problems
  • Execute complex technical tasks when necessary
  • Help manage weekly app releases
  • Be part of an on-call rotation and be able to handle our incident response procedures
  • Collect and analyze metrics to drive quality and efficiency
  • Create and maintain documentation for functionality, workflow and internal process
  • Support your team through encouragement and by example
  • Have the opportunity to learn from an established, contemporary engineering team
  • Work with other team members to ensure that the Shipt experience brings joy to our members and shoppers
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development
  • 2+ years of experience with App development (iOS, Android, or other hybrid mobile)
  • Current experience with the latest versions of React
  • Can communicate complex ideas and processes, simply and concisely
  • Love to collaborate, solve problems, and have attention to detail
  • A passion for learning and development to invest in self improvement
  • Working collaboratively with a team that is spread out geographically
Nice To Haves
  • Experience with React Native
  • Experience with Web development
  • Experience working with testing frameworks like Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox
