Come and join our growing team! We’re looking for a strategic, collaborative, and passionate Stores Brand Director who can help us tell Nike’s stories of innovation and sport through retail strategy, product presentation, and O2O consumer engagement.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a committed, forward-thinking, and people-first leader who loves stores and has a deep understanding of the role Stores Brand Marketing plays in delivering the ultimate consumer experience at retail. This individual should be able to demonstrate proven Visual Merchandising expertise, think strategically through multiple lenses, and is a strong collaborator that can work seamlessly across functions. This requires them to be effective communicator and creative thought-partner who possesses the ability to influence decision-making within their span of control.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As a key member of the Stores Marketing team, the Stores Brand Marketing Director will lead a team to develop end-in-mind retail concept strategies and frameworks that power a distinctive in-store experience for Nike Stores. You will be responsible for balancing the art and science of product presentation, brand storytelling and in-store communication. You will also be accountable for driving best-in-class retail experiences that ultimately inspire, power and serve the Geographies, Territories and Key Cities.

  • Lead the development of marketing strategies for Nike’s retail concept offense, with a focus on in-store communication, brand storytelling and product presentation.
  • Take a leadership role in partnering with Retail Concepts, Merchandising, and Retail Design teams to deliver against the strategic vision and business objectives.
  • Partner with Stores Digital Capabilities and Retail Design teams to develop, drive and implement an inspiring and integrated in-store member first journey.
  • Oversee the development of creative briefs for in-store marketing elements to support new or evolving concepts on behalf of the Global Stores Marketing team
  • Own and drive the functional game plan and concept process.
  • Inspire, empower & serve geos with strategies, tools and guidance focused on enabling flawless execution for Global Consumer Marketing priorities.
  • Proactively partner to capture & apply consumer first, data driven retail insights.
  • Probe and mine capabilities and foster a test & learn mentality that informs future strategies.
  • Lead and drive global best practices and standards. Capture and deploy Geographies, Territories and Key Cities key findings for broader scale
  • Leverage and apply Geographies, Territories and Key Cities to inform future strategies to dominate key cites and doors.
  • Lead and develop a world class global team with a focus on unleashing creativity & enhancing human potential.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

In this role, you will work with a diverse set of individuals, teams, and functions across both Global & Geography organizations. You will lead a team reporting into you consisting of Managers and Specialists.

This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Stores Brand Marketing but will build and sustain strong relationships with Global Marketing, Stores/Retail Concepts, Operations, and Retail Design functions to develop, drive and scale new concepts. You will work closely with Geography teams to both provide critical functional direction and understand relevant marketplace & competitive trends.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Design or related field; or combination of relevant education, experience, and training. MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years of proven experience building & implementing strategies in Retail/Stores Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Brand Marketing, Merchandising, or directly related experience in a vertical retail environment.
  • Possess a clear passion for the art and science of Stores Brand Marketing.
  • Ability to create unique and inspiring solutions for various retail environments. Apparel and footwear experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the current retail landscape and the latest trends and innovations for retail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong influencing & negotiating skills.
  • People Management Experience
  • A track record of implementing a test and learning offense.
  • A passion for business and data, and how those inform plans
  • An impeccable ability for balancing creativity with business needs, inspired by the "now and next" and keeping the consumer at the center of the work
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Pro-active problem solver, with the ability to assess an issue and develop action steps for resolution.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, visual communication, and presentation skills
  • Able to work as part of a matrix, with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally towards a common goal.
  • Can-do demeanor with the shown ability to adapt to changes in business needs or direction.
