Job Description
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Hybrid Cloud/ Windows Engineer/Administrator will be a subject matter expert for on-prem and AWS cloud infrastructure and services. You will support, operate, maintain, administer, engineer, and evolve the program infrastructure both on-prem and in the AWS GovCloud FedRAMP High environments. You will learn management skills and lead teams. You will ensure security and compliance in a 24/7 critical enterprise operations.
What you will do:
Provide expert support administering Windows Operating Systems (2016-2022) in a hybrid environment.
- Support a highly secured and regulated environment using a Risk Management Framework for standards and compliance from NIST, DISA STIG, IRS SCSEM, or DHS.
- Create and modify scripts to maintain and automate (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Ensure the optimization, redundancy, scalability, and stability of on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure monitoring, security, automation, configuration, performance, of the hybrid cloud infrastructure utilizing provided toolset.
- Automate everything as a core principle to reduce toil, maximize availability, and deliver value through a software engineering mindset applied to infrastructure. (IaC, scripting, DR, troubleshooting, self-healing, etc.)
- Participate in technical discussions and requirements discovery for onboarding applications and services.
- Update architecture and configuration documentation as changes occur.
- Support an on-call rotation for after-hours response to critical incidents.
- Identify and implement cost savings opportunities and revenue improvement through automation, optimizing resource utilization, and implementation of new services.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 to 10 years of experience. Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.
- Scripting (PowerShell, python, IaC, PaaS, SaaS, API orchestration, etc.) and automation tool knowledge is required.
- Possess one of more Windows or VMware certifications.
- At least 8 years of experience in administering Windows Operating System and/or VMware and/or AWS.
- You must have proven expertise in administering Windows Operating System and/or VMware and/or AWS expertise.
- Must be able to work in a 24/7 operations team including on-call rotation.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required 6C Public Trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess one or more AWS Associate, Professional or Specialty certifications.
- Previous Government or Federal experience.
