Actalent is seeking an Entry Level Engineer for a major automotive company in Chattanooga, TN

Description:

• Organization and detail oriented related to paperwork, storage to share drive, organized email communication
• Creating production schedules in Excel and inputting them into the planning tools
• Working with various manufacturing departments to generate the production schedule for our pre-series (future model year) cars
• Following vehicles through the production process
• Once vehicles are completed, then handle detailed paperwork and processes to get units prepared to ship out to the customer – shipping bill of lading, Hazmat, Customs paperwork, etc
• Follow QMS Standards and standard working procedures
• Follow standard workflow processes for step-by-step shipping guidance
• Working with 3PLs (3rd party logistics) companies to coordinate pick-up units
• Handle paperwork and drive vehicles to meet carrier

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors's Degree in an Engineering field is preferred
• 2-5 years experience in program planning/production scheduling
• 2-5 years experience in production control, production flow/processes, and master scheduling
• 2 to 5 years of manufacturing experience
• Working with Logistics companies, setting up shipping
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
• Skilled in learning new proprietary IT systems quickly
• Well experienced in IT systems/computer technical knowledge necessary
• Detailed oriented and keen attention to detail
