Third Shift Dispatch Supervisor

Matrix Expedited Service has an opening for a third shift dispatcher supervisor.

Matrix Expedited Service operates tractor-trailer, and box truck equipment. Matrix operates 24 hour seven days a week providing dedicated route and expedited service for the automotive industry. .

A qualified candidate for this job has strong personal confidence, leadership and communication skills. Excels at problem solving and working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the Dispatch / Customer Service center
• Solve logistical and personnel issues that arise in a timely manner
• Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers and customers to provide quality on time service
• Handle break downs, driver issues and meet customer needs in a fast paced environment
• Update dispatch software and customer web sites

Requirements

• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Must have dispatch experience in the trucking / transportation industry.
• Logistics and problem solving ability
• Have DOT compliance and HOS experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Must be proficient key board operator to work in fast paced environment
• Experience with Ryder LMS, XPO, AOD, Expeditors and customs clearance is a plus
• Must be timely and reliable
• Forklift Certification
• Cross Border Experience (Coordinate Southbound / Northbound Shipments directly with both shippers and Mexican Service Providers.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
