If you are good at Math and has some background in programming you will be able to teach. We use VEX or Lego Robotics Kits. And all the training you need for the job will be provided.. Falkon Academy is looking for teachers, coaches, college students and high school students who are interested in teaching young kids (ages 8-14) following activities: The qualifications include interest in teaching Math and Science related Subjects.

We will be running several summer programs at multiple Sacramento area locations.

We will train you to:

Interact with young tech genius kids.
Teach Engineering Research through play.
Design Robots
Code Robots
Success at Robotics Competitions.

• COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Falkon partners with community-based organizations to provide youth the opportunity to enrich their engineering skills by participating in safe, positive and fun programs and camps.
• JOB DESCRIPTION: Program Coach positions are available for the summer season that runs from early-June to mid-August. And non summer coach positions are also available. Falkon participants range from age 8 to 15. Each programs’ coach will work together to prepare and execute a schedule full of fun, skill- based activities for our participants.
• JOB REQUIREMENTS: Falkon is looking for Engineering-oriented individuals who are highly-motivated, energetic people that enjoy working with children. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, High school/varsity level experience and inclination to engineering. Previous exposure to coding is beneficial, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the Sacramento area. Staff must be at least 15 years old by first work day or have a valid worker’s permit.
• PROGRAM FORMAT/HOURS: Teaching classes in summer consist of camps Mon – Fri from either 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, or 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM starting in early June and July 2022. Staff must commit to the program they are assigned to for the full length of the program (Full Mon-Fri week).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
