The
VP/HR Business Partner function is new to our team. So not only will you be a functional HR professional, but you also need to understand the basics of business to bring the most value to this position. This role has the potential to be a trust partner for business leaders for all aspects of People strategy, build culture and impact the employment experience for many colleagues.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Partner with division and entity leaders to execute the People strategy for the division/entity in line with business objectives
  • Coordinate closely with US Group HR Project team(s) to assure alignment between Division and US and to reduce redundancy and preserve resources
  • Help to establish and reinforce transition to a matrixed corporate environment and identifying and working with stakeholders on resolutions to any challenges
  • Facilitate effective communication between Centers of Expertise and functional groups to provide visibility to upcoming HR initiatives and employee issues
  • Analyze, evaluate, and redesign HR operations and procedures within and between entities, seeking maximum efficiency
  • Diagnosing performance issues with the business and working with business leaders to design and implement solutions
  • Work closely with recruiting resources and business leaders to identify top talent and retain teammates in various locations
  • Coach managers on policy application and interpretation
  • Lead, manage and coach HR team in the division
  • Ensure Davies culture and Group employee engagement is factored into business operations
  • Partner with operational leaders to ensure change is managed, planned, communicated, and reinforced
  • Lead the integration process when new acquisitions join the Field Services division
  • Lead special projects for the division that involve researching, compiling data, and creating and preparing reports and action plans
  • Understand and analyze data and trends and make recommendations to management team(s) for improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • High level of experience in an HR generalist role
  • Knowledge and compliance with US employment laws and best practices around labor issues and knowing when expert advice is required
  • Possess strong business knowledge and know how to find answers to questions and identify the right stakeholders in each scenario
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and being able to relate to any position within the organization
  • Ability to pivot quickly to assist the business in new projects as needed
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to develop processes where none currently exist
  • Possess independent discretion/decision making skills
  • Must have US work rights


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel 10% – 30% of the time

This role is a remote, full-time, salaried, exempt role. This position operates in a home-based office and routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, printers, and phones. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a sedentary role that requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, use of fingers to use office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand, as necessary.
