Job Overview

The Warehouse Manager at a sheet music publisher is responsible for managing the entire physical product supply chain, from the requesting of printed sheet music to the delivery of finished goods to retailers and customers. This includes overseeing the procurement of music, coordinating transportation of goods, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders. The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for forecasting demand and implementing new processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement plans to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials at the best possible cost.
• Coordinate the transportation of music from printers to the warehouse and from the warehouse to customers.
• Ensure accurate inventory levels, conducting regular inventory counts and implementing processes to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Oversee the warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, training part-time help during busy seasons, and ensuring accurate billing and timely shipping of orders.
• Analyze data related to warehouse operations, such as inventory levels, transportation costs, and customer demand, and using that data to make informed decisions about process improvements.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment, adhering to all safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience training and supervising part-time staff a plus.
• Familiarity with the sheet music industry or music publishing a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods of time.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The Warehouse Manager will report directly to the company's General Manager and work closely with other members of the management team to ensure the company's overall success.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,365.00 - $47,690.00 per year
