Minimum Salary: $70,000.00

Maximum Salary: $85,000.00

Summary

The Warehouse Shift Manager is responsible for managing the warehouse department in all facets of shipping, receiving, storage, and reconciliation of full goods and materials necessary to support the distribution center. In addition, they are responsible for ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety and inventory audit requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily functions of the warehouse shift which includes ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensures staffing levels are maintained for optimum operation efficiency.
  • Approves schedules ensuring business demands are met.
  • Actively participates in safety initiatives by conducting audits, provides coaching opportunities as needed, and rewards safe working practices.
  • Oversees inventory levels and product loss control.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Builds positive associate morale.
  • Manages supervisors who supervise employees in the Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving and Night Loading
  • Train employees on OSHA, environmental monthly training and ensure regulations are being met.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • 1-3 years’ warehouse/inventory experience required
  • Working in a union environment preferred
  • Requires experience managing supervisory level employees
  • 2+ years managing warehouse / inventory environment preferred
  • Intermediate PC and database skills
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Forklift certification a plus
  • Six Sigma lean certification preferred
