Denver International Airports Planning and Design team is looking for a Wayfinding Program Manager to become a part of the DEN Wayfinding team and assist with various wayfinding/environmental graphics projects from concept through fabrication and installation. Project budgets and scopes vary in size and complexity and this candidate should be versatile and work well within the DEN design team as well as with other key DEN stakeholders. This role will support the Wayfinding Project Manager on key initiatives, help develop signage solutions and find creative ways to solve signage challenges while DEN continues to change and grow. The Wayfinding team is responsible for all public-facing signage at DEN including interior, exterior and roadway.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Managing intake/requests for various signage requests
  • Reporting project updates to manager/supervisor and stakeholders
  • Helping to identify solutions to complex signage problems
  • Upholding signage standards and DEN’s wayfinding guidelines on all projects
  • Create signage layouts, developing in-house signage graphics/artwork and work orders
  • Coordinate outside specialty consultants (including their scope, schedule, and budgets) to perform task order work
  • Partnering with DEN Graphics shop to fabricate in-house signage
  • Coordinating and overseeing outside fabricators on signage production and installation
About You
We are looking for candidates for some or all the following skills and experience:
  • 1- 5 years of experience managing or coordinating projects, with a preference for experience managing aviation related projects
  • Experience with graphic design and Adobe Illustrator
  • Attention to detail and an ability to follow guidelines and apply manual standards to signage artwork
  • A desire to work with a team and be a collaborator
  • Expert problem solver and solutions oriented
  • Good with taking direction and multiple opinions on complex signage issues
  • A willingness to work in the office, be on site and continually navigate the Airport wide campus

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of professional project management experience in the related occupational group including coordinating, administering, and monitoring projects.
  • Experience and Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
  • Licensures/Certification(s): requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
